Title: DISCOVERED

Positioning statement: Play forever, or die trying.

Frequency of Publication: Monthly Price: £1.50

Distribution: News agents, supermarkets (WHSmiths), Music/record shops (HMV)

Issue Size: 100pages

Rationale: The approach of my magazine is very much from the perspective of the fans. It will offer different opinions and insights: band interviews and articles. The magazine will focus a lot on what the fans want to know from their favourite indie/rock bands but also allows them to discover new artists.

Style: The magazine will be used in an informal style with humour in order to relate to the younger target audience. However, the magazine will not be afraid to give its own opinions on upcoming events and new bands avoiding an offensive manner. This particular magazine is for the indie/rock genre to apply to this type of target audience. There will be a simple vocabulary linking to the style of font being used, with short paragraphs and slang.

 

Images will be the dominant feature of layouts.
